Create graceful and peaceful interiors while seamlessly embedding all the function of a multitasking space to include Dining, Lounge seating for conversation and movie viewing, and a dedicated telecommuting Office space, as well as the piano.
Miami’s proximity to Cuba inspired a Havana Light design concept. The dark woods and coastal colors of Cuba with contemporary lines juxtaposed against select antiques. Glass lamps and accents echoing the sparkling ocean views.
Durability. All fabrics must be scrubbable, outdoor fabrics. It needs to withstand regular use, whether it’s large family gatherings or a series of houseguests. The earthy dark brown granite and backsplash needed a bright, colorful counterpart, which we created using a coastal coral and lime green palette for decor. The final challenge was designing seating areas that would keep the family together without feeling cramped—large groups watching sports while others choosing to read, all in comfortable proximity to each other, in this shared space.
